Rules for BWA Games

BUFFALO HUNT

Each competitor will have 3 arrows

Competitors will shoot from a minimum distance of 50 Feet

The time limit for this event is 4 minutes

There are various scoring areas on the target

a Heart Shot………….. 4 Points

b Animal……………… 3 Points

c Inner Square……….. 2 Points

d Outer square……….. 1 Point

5 In the event of a tied score the fastest time will win

ROPING

Competitors will rope a moving steer

All competitors will rope from a set distance of 15 feet

Competitors will have a throwing area of 12 feet

The time limit for this event is 2 minutes

Scoring is as follows

a Full Head……………..6 Points

b 2 Horns……………….5 Points

c 1 Horn and Nose……...4 Points

d 1 Horn………………...3 Points

e Nose…………………..2 Points

In the event of a tied score the fastest time

will win

HORSESHOE PITCHING

1 Each competitor will have 4 throws

2 Competitors will throw from a distance of 30 feet

3 Only one horseshoe may be thrown at a time

4 The time limit for this event is 2 minutes

5 Scoring is as follows

a Ringer........................6 Points

b Inner Circle...............4 Points

c 2^nd Circle....................3 Points

d 3^rd Circle....................2 Points

e 4^th Circle.....................1 Point

6 In the event of a tied score the fastest

time will win

THROWING ARROWS

1 All competitors will have 3 arrows

2 MALE competitors will throw from a minimum distance of 20 feet

FEMALE competitors will throw from a minimum distance of 15 feet

3 Only one arrow to be thrown at a time

4 To score arrows must stick in the ground

5 The time limit for this event is 2 minutes

6 Scoring is as follows

a Inner circle...............3 Points

b Second circle............2 Points

c Outer circle..............1 Point

7 In the event of a tied score the fastest time will win

HAWK THROWING

1 All competitors will use 3 hawks with only 1 hawk being thrown at a time

2 Competitors will throw from a distance of 10 feet

3 To score hawks must remain in the target until all hawks have been thrown

4 The time limit for this event is 1 minute

5 Scoring is as follows

a Centre circle.............3 Points

b 2nd circle..................2Points

c 3rd circle...................1 Point

6 In the event of a tied score the fastest time will win

KNIFE THROWING

1 All competitors will have 5 knives with only 1 knife being thrown at a time

2 Competitors will throw from a minimum distance of 10 feet

3 To score knives must remain in the target until all knives have been thrown

4 The time limit for this event is 1 minute

5 Scoring is as follows

a Centre circle.............3 Points

b 2nd circle....................2 Points

c Outer circle...............1 Point

6 In the event of a tied score the fastest time will win

TURKEY SHOOT

1 BWA Air rifles will be used for this event

2 Each competitor will have 3 shots

3 Competitors will shoot from a set distance of 30 feet

4 Competitors will shoot at regulation cardboard targets

5 The time limit for this event is 2 minutes
